Delicious Hot Crab Dip

Hello!   Today I am going to feature a half eatten crab dip!  I know that is gross but after it was half eatten I thought, wow, this would be a wonderful thing to blog about cause of the Christmas season is upon us.  

The recipe was given to me years ago by a friend.  You MUST USE THE BEST CRAB YOU CAN AFFORD or it will taste fishy and not at all good - T R U S T   M E !

Hot Crab Dip -- makes 4 cups -- preheat oven to 325

16 oz softened cream cheese, 8 oz sour cream, 4 Tbls mayo, 1/2 tsp. lemon juice, 1 tsp. dried mustard, 1/8 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp salt.  Mix the above ingredients til smooth then add 1 pound of backfin highquality crab meat - folding the crab meat in as well as 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese.  Pour into a prepared 8 x 8 dish or a comparable size - bake for 45 minutes - remove then add the remaining 1/2 cheddar cheese and sprinkle paprika on top.  

You will definitely be invited back if you bring this along to the party!   We have a local Italian restaurant that puts this on top of a fresh Philly pretzel and tops it with the cheese then bakes it......

Bottles Abroad!!

Hi!  I am just finishing up some items for Saturday's craft fair @ St. Pius, Y A Y!!!!!  Not that I don't enjoy making all the items made for this fair......this is not the correct time of year to be in it....enough said!

Here are some painted oil, vinegar, hand soap, dish soap, whatever you want to put in them, bottles. 

These have all been hand painted and "fired" in the oven.  They are useable, washable, just not with any alcohol based product.

Paper Twist Star

Hello and Good Morning to you!  Because of the recent snow our kids go in 2 hours late so I am posting this early!!  Below is a paper twist star that I was planning on making and selling for the upcoming St. Pius craft fair on Saturday the 14th.  I made 6 but soon realized I needed to get cracking on the oil bottles.  I learned this beautiful technique from Gail @ Purple Hues and Me.  This lady is so creative, I am always amazed at all the ideas she has!  I made a whole batch in burlap to sell and when I found this bag of paper twist from 1990!!!!! in my "stuff" I thought I would try it with this - Not as neat and tidy as other media but I do like the end result, especially when hanging.

Hello!   Thank you so much for clicking on my post!  I sincerely appreciate it.  I have been busier than a one armed paperhanger getting ready for this December 14th craft fair - if you are in the Delaware Valley vicinity, it's at St. Pius in Broomall - Please stop in!!  If you mention that you saw this on my blog, I'll give you a free gift!   Sounds like Tupperware!  Bring a friend and you will get a free gift!!

Today I finished this chair I had found curbside during a walk many many years ago.  It was up in our attic and I forgot all about it!  Tom brought it down for the garage sale we had and I reclaimed it!  So then it became our computer chair and I was forced to upcycle it.  Here it is before.........

And here it is with the burlap and ASCP transformation......

I love the way it turned out and I really love the print of this burlap!  That black string is my camera, sorry!!  I did the cording because I feel it gives chairs of this nature a more finished appearance, hopefully who ever purchases this feel the same  (wishful thinking!)!!  I used JoSonya's non-yellowing clear acrylic varnish instead of waxing - faster, easier and looks great!  I usually use this brand in all my decorative projects - I have tried tons of brands and this is by far the best - I purchase it by the gallon.

All Things Christmas Link Party #3!!!

Good Morning All!  I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, I know I did!  It took me about 20 years to overcome some deep hurt and resentment toward certain people but through the power of GOD and the marvelous prayers found in the book I read called

ANGER, HANDLING A POWERFUL EMOTION IN A POSITIVE WAY.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to improve the quality of the rest of their lives!!!!!!!!!    Because I prayed certain prayers to GOD that Gary Chapman had suggested (every time I went to the bathroom! The prayers were posted above the t.p.!!), I was totally able to enjoy my extended family on Thanksgiving and most importantly, I hope that they were able to enjoy me.
